Just days ago, Mohamed Salah chose Trabzonspor as his next destination after the end of his Liverpool spell, sending shockwaves through the league and beyond. His arrival triggered a frenzy: Trabzonspor fended off strong domestic competition, and the move dominated headlines and debate across Turkey.

Now comes Lukaku, another heavyweight name preparing to step into the same league, albeit in different colours and under very different expectations. Fenerbahce want more than a marquee signing; they want a proven goalscorer with the scars and experience of European football, someone to lead their attack and their ambitions.
