Salah Shines in Trabzonspor's 4-0 Victory Over Galatasaray

Mohamed Salah lit up the night. Victor Osimhen never made it to the stage.

Galatasaray’s star striker failed to return from injury on Saturday, and his absence echoed loudly as they were dismantled 4–0 by a ruthless Trabzonspor side, driven by a sensational Salah hat-trick.

Osimhen had trained separately from the main group during the week, a cautious step that still fuelled optimism he might be ready for this clash. Those hopes vanished when the teams were announced. From that moment, Galatasaray looked short of a focal point. Trabzonspor, with Salah at full tilt, looked anything but short of ideas.

Salah takes over

The tone was set almost immediately. After just four minutes, Salah exploded into space, breaking from deep and surging nearly 80 metres. One long, relentless run, one ice-cold finish. Trabzonspor were in front, and Galatasaray were already chasing shadows.

Spotting Noah Saviolo free across the penalty area, he picked him out with a precise ball that cut through Galatasaray’s defensive line. Saviolo met it first time, sweeping his finish back across goal to cap a slick team move. Two-nil, and Galatasaray were reeling.

Just when they needed half-time to regroup, Salah struck again. He found the space, found the angle, and found his sixth league goal of the season. Trabzonspor moved into cruise control before the break, while Galatasaray trudged off with the contest already slipping away.

Hat-trick sealed, tempers flare

The second half brought no real rescue mission from the visitors. The pattern stayed the same: Trabzonspor confident, Galatasaray stretched and increasingly frustrated.

With 10 minutes remaining, Salah completed his hat-trick, underlining his dominance and putting a brutal shine on the scoreline. Every decisive moment seemed to carry his imprint, whether he was running in behind, threading passes, or finishing with clinical certainty.

Frustration finally boiled over on the Galatasaray bench. Manager Okan Buruk was sent off late on after a furious reaction on the touchline, a flashpoint that summed up a miserable evening for his side.

Trabzonspor walked away with a statement win. Salah walked away with the match ball. Galatasaray, still waiting on Osimhen’s full return, walked away with questions they can no longer avoid.
