Striker Reaches Century of Appearances

Guirassy Overtakes Lewandowski’s European Tally

The two goals pushed Guirassy’s total to 64 goals in 100 appearances for Dortmund. After the match, the 30-year-old said, “I’m very, very happy to have played a hundred games for Dortmund - I didn’t even realise that. Of course, it’s something very special to break Lewandowski’s record because he’s a great striker.”

Since joining Dortmund from Stuttgart in 2024, Guirassy has shown impressive consistency in Europe. He now ranks second on Dortmund’s all-time Champions League scoring list, behind only Marco Reus who has 24 goals. On the chaotic nature of the match and his accidental own goal, Guirassy commented, “It was a strange game tonight - a crazy game. We could have done better, but we’re happy with the win.”

After this Champions League success, Dortmund will shift focus back to the Bundesliga.
