Zeidane Inoussa Set for Loan Move to Portsmouth

Swansea winger Zeidane Inoussa is set to swap South Wales for the south coast, with a loan move to Portsmouth lined up for the rest of the season.

The 24-year-old only arrived at Swansea last summer, signed from Swedish side BK Hacken for a significant fee and billed as a long-term wide option. He remains under contract at the Swansea.com Stadium until 2030, but his first campaign in the Championship never really caught fire.

Inoussa managed just one goal in 29 appearances during an injury-disrupted season, struggling to build rhythm or nail down a consistent role. Now, with competition for places intensifying, Swansea are ready to let him go in search of regular football.

The landscape on the wings has shifted quickly. Moussa Yeo and Joseph Opoku have already come through the door this summer, while Manchester City youngster Jeremy Monga is on the verge of joining. With that wave of attacking recruits, Inoussa has slipped down the pecking order.

He is not the only wide player Swansea are prepared to move on. The club are also keen to offload Florian Bianchini after his underwhelming loan spell at Portsmouth last season, and there is ongoing speculation around the future of Ronald as the reshuffle continues.

For Portsmouth, the deal offers a chance to add pace and direct running out wide from a player with top-end Championship potential who simply needs a cleaner run at it. For Inoussa, it is a reset: a fresh dressing room, a new touchline to hug, and a season to prove why Swansea invested so heavily in him in the first place.
