Arsenal Keeps Pursuing Bradley Barcola After Losing Morgan Rogers to Chelsea
Arsenal remain keen on signing Bradley Barcola, the 23-year-old French attacker currently with Paris Saint-Germain, even after missing out on Morgan Rogers, who has joined Chelsea from Aston Villa.
Barcola boosted his reputation during the recent World Cup by netting three goals in eight matches for France. His rising profile has attracted interest from several clubs, with PSG reportedly open to letting him go if the right offer comes along before the transfer window closes.
The European champions are pushing to bring in Yan Diomande, which might push Barcola to look for regular playing time elsewhere. At PSG, he is behind Ousmane Dembele, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Desire Doue in the attacking lineup. Despite this, PSG still value him highly and would prefer to keep him unless a strong bid arrives.
Arsenal's Continued Interest and Transfer Plans
After failing to secure Morgan Rogers, Arsenal seem ready to revive their pursuit of Barcola as they search for more attacking options. The Gunners are also close to signing Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge for about 34 million euros, hoping he can fill the void left by Leandro Trossard’s departure.
Liverpool Also in the Race for Barcola
Liverpool are competing with Arsenal to sign Barcola as they reshape their attack ahead of Mohamed Salah’s eventual exit. They have already signed Victor Munoz from Osasuna but want further reinforcements on the wings. Reports indicate Liverpool admire Barcola greatly, but the main challenge is agreeing on a financially feasible deal with PSG.
Andoni Iraola, Liverpool’s coach, has expressed the need for another wide player. Additionally, the Reds have shown interest in Monaco’s Maghnes Akliouche, suggesting they are exploring multiple options.
