Carlos Queiroz Returns as Ghana Head Coach Weeks After Resigning
In an unexpected move, Carlos Queiroz has been named head coach of the Ghana national football team again, less than two months after his resignation. The former Real Madrid manager stepped down following Ghana's exit from the World Cup but will now lead the Black Stars once more during the upcoming international fixtures.

"The GFA believes Queiroz’s extensive international experience, technical expertise and knowledge of the Black Stars position him strongly to lead the team into this next chapter."

A Veteran International Coach

During his brief first spell with Ghana, Queiroz witnessed a dramatic 1-0 group-stage win over Panama, thanks to a stoppage-time goal from Caleb Yirenkyi. Ghana then held England to a goalless draw before losing 2-1 to Croatia.
At club level, Queiroz served as Sir Alex Ferguson’s trusted assistant at Manchester United, contributing to three Premier League titles and the 2008 Champions League triumph. He also had a notable stint as Real Madrid head coach in the 2003-04 season.
