2026-27 UEFA Champions League Schedule: Dates, Times, Fixtures

League Phase Schedule and Format
The group stage kicks off in early September 2026, featuring 36 teams competing over eight rounds. Teams ranked in the top 8 after the league phase advance directly to the Round of 16. Clubs placed 9th to 16th enter a knockout playoff round against those finishing 17th to 24th. Teams ranked 25th to 36th are eliminated from European competitions without dropping to the Europa or Conference Leagues.
The knockout playoff winners join the eight direct qualifiers in the Round of 16. From there, draws set matchups through quarterfinals, semifinals, and the final.
