Tuchel shuts it down

And he was not convinced.

According to The Athletic, Tuchel made his “firm opposition to any agreement for the Portuguese forward very clear on several occasions.” He didn’t just hesitate. He repeatedly blocked the notion of bringing Ronaldo into his dressing room and into his system.

That stance proved decisive. Despite Boehly’s talks with Mendes and the early groundwork laid for a sensational move, Tuchel’s resistance closed the door. The Chelsea-Ronaldo dream, briefly alive in boardroom conversations, died before it ever reached the pitch.
