Juventus Pursues Kolo Muani Return Amid Attack Overhaul
Juventus are tearing up their forward line and starting again. Dusan Vlahovic is walking away for nothing when his contract expires on June 30, and the two men signed to freshen up the attack last season, Lois Openda and Jonathan David, have not convinced. One year on, both are already on the market.
Against that backdrop, the club have turned back to a familiar face. Multiple sources in Italy report that Randal Kolo Muani is open to returning to Turin this summer, and Juventus are working to make it happen while also closing in on Alexander Sorloth.
Kolo Muani, the unfinished chapter
Kolo Muani’s half-season in black and white during 2024-25 left a clear mark: ten goals in 22 appearances, a sharp impact in a team still searching for its identity. He left with the feeling that the story was not complete. Now the door has swung open again.
According to Romeo Agresti of Sky Sport and Tuttosport, Juventus remain in talks with Paris Saint-Germain over the French striker. The dialogue has been going on alongside negotiations with Atletico Madrid for Sorloth, where an agreement with the Norway international is already in place.
The problem is the numbers. PSG value Kolo Muani at around €35 million. Juventus have drawn a line at €30 million. That gap is small on paper, but significant for a club reshaping an entire attack and wary of repeating expensive mistakes.
Loan, obligation, and a coach’s verdict
There is room for compromise. With Kolo Muani under contract at PSG until June 2028 and clearly outside Luis Enrique’s plans, the French champions are expected to consider a loan with an obligation to buy, tied to conditions that are almost guaranteed to be met.
It would suit all parties. PSG move on a player they do not intend to renew. Juventus spread the cost while rebuilding. Kolo Muani returns to a club where he scored freely and felt trusted.
The forward is described as eager to go back to the Allianz Stadium, even without the lure of Champions League football in 2026-27. That detail matters. Juventus need players willing to buy into a medium-term project rather than a quick European showcase.
Sorloth deal sets the tone
While the Kolo Muani talks continue, Juventus have already advanced decisively on another front. Discussions with Atletico Madrid for Alexander Sorloth are active, and the player has reached an agreement with the Bianconeri.
The plan is clear: a new-look front line built around power, movement, and depth, with Sorloth’s physical presence and Kolo Muani’s versatility offering a very different profile to the outgoing Vlahovic and the underwhelming Openda and David.
Juventus, once again, are betting heavily on a reset in attack. The question now is simple: will PSG blink on the fee and allow Kolo Muani to finish what he started in Turin?
